Vikings vs. Raiders

Tonight the Vikings take on the surprisingly promising Raiders in the Vikings 3rd preseason game. Soon Teddy will face off against the 2nd best QB of last years draft, Bridgewater being the best, Derek Carr. While Carr may have the bigger arm, Teddy will prove tonight that he can and will make better decisions as he slices the Raiders secondary to pieces as he showcases the talented weapons that are growing around him. Then the man, the myth, the legendary Ponder-er will make an appearance as he poos in his pants while trying to decide what to do with the ball, before eating turf.

People need to relax, was reading a deal and loads of comments basically calling Trae a bust (seriously after 2 I repeat TWO intercoursing preseason games). Rhodes had a season under Frasier and half a season under Zim before he showed what he could truly be.
It will take some time and there will be bumps along the way, but with Zim as his HC Waynes will NOT fail, unless he doesn’t put in the effort.

  2. This is probably just the Australian in me but how the fuck can anyone playing professional football miss a kick 30-40 yards out from right in front of the posts. They’re wider then what I had to kick it through I should be F&@$%# kicking.

    • Yessir. He’s hurt. He’s hurt. No one pitied the us when AD went down with his injury, and Loadholt going down last week. We’re gonna sweep them this year whether he played or not…

“3. The Vikings are still looking to get their running game going. Credit the starting offensive line for getting its act together in pass protection after Bridgewater was often on the run last season. But the Vikings haven’t been able to run the ball when their starters are in. Jerick McKinnon, who is keeping the backfield warm for Adrian Peterson, rushed for 25 yards on 12 carries against the Raiders and is averaging just 1.6 yards per carry through three preseason games. He has gotten popped in the backfield on a few occasions now. Coach Mike Zimmer pointed out that the Raiders used a lot of eight-man boxes last night, but he ultimately conceded that “we’ve got to do that better.” That’s true, but getting No. 28 in there will help.”

Asiata looked quite good, both running the ball and as a checkdown. I think he locked up his roster spot this weekend. McKinnon has failed at almost every aspect this pre-season, as has Banyard. Banyard will be among those cut in the first round, McKinnon better show us something against Dallas or he’s likely on the bubble…….or, maybe the Vikings will give him a contract extension.

      • Asiata, Harris, and Williams haven’t had the same difficulty he’s had. Granted, they’ve run behind our 2s against the defense’s 2s, but the drop off in talent should be commensurate, unless our 2s are that much better than anyone else’s.

  4. In this morning’s presser, Zim talks about there being a specific thing going wrong during the offensive run game. He didn’t say what it was. You can bet that he is aware of what’s wrong and will do whatever it takes to get it corrected.

Keep it purple...
